With a new contract to process 1.8 million tonnes of residues from the waste incineration plant in Amsterdam over the next ten years, HEROS confirms its position as the largest ash processor in the Benelux countries. The contract with waste disposal company AEB Amsterdam was signed last week. HEROS sees itself as a driving force for a more circular economy and offers sustainable solutions for protecting resources and the climate with its innovative technologies.
Every year, the Dutch REMEX subsidiary recovers around 150,000 tonnes of metals, which are then cleaned, classified and subsequently reprocessed by industry. The company can point to an equally successful track record for the significantly larger proportion of mineral residues: the technical recycling technologie at the plant in Sluiskil enables the mineral ash to be used for the production of asphalt and concrete, among other things.
