Everyone in the area is aware of the construction project being carried out by Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes, which involves a complete closure between the Düsseldorf-Süd motorway junction and the Monheim junction: the repair of the A 59 motorway.
Among other things, the project involves milling off the concrete carriageway, including the underlying hydraulically bound base course (HGT), and replacing it with an asphalt structure. The REMEX affiliate B + R Baustoff-Handel und -Recycling Düsseldorf-Neuss GmbH is responsible for processing the mineral waste from the first construction phase.
Last week, the Düsseldorf-based company commissioned the mobile processing plant. Over the next six weeks, it will be used to process around 32,000 tonnes of concrete and HGT from the demolition work into quality-controlled recycled building materials and prepare them for reuse as a frost protection layer in accordance with the Secondary Aggregate Directive.
We will soon be reporting on the further progress of the project with a detailed report on REMEX SOLUTIONS.
