REMEX GmbH has received approval for changes to its North Rhine-Westphalia site in Großhülsen (Hilden). The expansion centres on the construction and operation of a ball press and a foiling machine for compacting and foiling artificial mineral fibres (AMF).
In addition to treatment, the approval notice also covers the storage and handling of AMF waste – in particular insulation materials, which are frequently generated in the construction industry. The aim is to significantly reduce the volume of waste sent to landfill through compaction, thereby enabling more efficient use of landfill capacity.
