The Dutch REMEX subsidiary HEROS Sluiskil B.V. is expanding its capacity for metal concentrates recovered from IBA. The company, which recycles more than 1 million tonnes of bottom ash from waste incineration plants in the Netherlands, Belgium and France every year, is preparing for further growth with this investment.

Well compacted: treatment of AMF for volume-reduced disposal

What began in 2022 with the dismantling of a wastewater treatment plant from the previous owner of the site was now completed: On the REMEX Group's approximately 20,000 m² site in Hilden, Northrhine-Westfalia, a compactor with a downstream foliation machine for compacting and foliating artificial mineral fibres (AMF) was put into operation.
